Books are going to be your best friend. You wanna learn, read, study, and write.

Yes there are some great books out there to read for beginners. But also the best thing to do is also start learning your basics of magick. Basics can range different for everyone. There are some articles here on the site that explain them. So I would check that out.

It also depends on what kind of path you are taking and what you are wanting to learn. But i can post some of the basics for you.

Remember meditation is the key to the universe and the energies that surround us. When we meditate, we connection to our spiritual self/or subconscious, if you will. It helps determind what we want in a spell or ritual. It helps connect to spirits and be able to communicate.
