Help, Wicca Problems?
By:
Okay, so my friend found out about me practicing Witchcraft. I don't want people to know about my religion. It's sacred to me. Also, I believe they would be on edge about me using magic. People don't accept those who are Wicca.

Should I still talk to her and act like everything's okay? Or do I tell her I was kidding? Or should I ignore her? I honestly don't know what to do.

She is not much of a friend if she doesn't accept your religion, if you did not accept her religion it would be seen as very wrong, wicca is just as valid a religion as any other and people should accept that.

Are you discussing wicca or witchcraft, more people have a problem with witchcraft than wicca but they are two very different things. The religion of wicca contains no witchcraft but you can be a witch and wiccan. Maybe knowing you practice magick is too much for her at the moment, but she should accept your religion as you would accept hers.

Personally I would go on as you did before with your friend, but don't bring up the subject of Wicca with her anymore. After all, your religion is very personal to you, it doesn't need to be shared with anyone else. If you don't keep talking about it then it is likely that your friend will forget about it in time.

Friends, or family for that matter, don't have to accept anything about you. Not sccepting some aspect of a person doesn't make them any less of the person they are to you, or what they mean to you. Sure it would be nice if they did accept, but people don't accept things if they don't like. Just because the truth is hurtful, or horrible, its still the truth.

My family doesn't accept my beliefs, my practice of witchcraft, and my religious path. But guess what, theyer still my family, and they still love me. They don't accept it, but they deal with it. And as Lark put in a wonderful manner, don't discuss it with her, for it may be too much for her to handle at the moment.

Thank you guys. Lark you make a valid point. There has only been one person I told about my religion, besides my family.
