Coming from the Norse standpoint, which DJ Conway also writes about, I wouldn't say her Dragon Magic books have much to offer in the way of legitimate practice.
There is no set Draconic path beyond what either might be private, eclectic, or highly involved with personal experience.
Dragon Magick will work with most paths. Dragons care more about personal power and respect than ritual, so incorporating them is easy. Seeking them out is easy, and summoning them is simple. That being said, because they don't rely on ritual, using Dragon Magick has a lot in common with energy working and requires a little experience in it.
Note: This is how I work with Dragons, Others may have different ways, and I respect them wholeheartedly.
Don't read DJ Conway, she's unreliable and known to fabricate information. Look into mythology to learn more about dragons. If you wish to meet them, there's a few ways, but a simple one would be to leave an offering and ask them to help you on your path, then meditate and wait for an answer. Astral Projection is another common method.
If you're new to talking to them, Dragons are quite rough to contact unless you have a specific reason.
Many require and want dedication. We have met draconic spirits who do not allow their followers to practice anything else but dragon magic.
If you want, Essix is a place you can contact. There are many dragons there, but you need to Astral Project or go there in dreams. The reining god there is Kiazor, with his mate (or sometimes they are considered as one) Kiaza. They are highly social and love contact. Ask for their presence in dreams and you will obtain it.
