Activating the chakras
By:
Hi everyone I've been doing a lot of chakra meditations and visualisations the past few days in an attempt to activate balance and cleanse them and I have spontaneously gotten sick i have a dizzy headache my throat is sore my chest feels heavy and sore and my stomach and lover back feels sore it feel quite weak and I am wondering if it could be a kind of thin that happens when u start to work with your chakras id like to add that I am a very healthy person and very rarely get sick and when I do it's only ever a runny nose also in the middle of last year I did some exercises to open and activate my third eye and the following night I got very sick I felt very dizzy nauseous and I had a very very uncomfortable headache my body felt really weak and it was the exact same feeling as I have now except it was only my head and my body feeling weak after that I stopped doing any chakra third eye meditations . On the plus side I have begun to start
seeing auras and energy around me which is cool and I have started feeling energy around me . If this is something that usually happens when u first start working with the chakras please tell me thanks :)

Here is a article that should help you
The 7 Chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy flows through.
Blocked energy in our 7 Chakras can often lead to illness so it's important to understand what each Chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely.
The 1st Chakra, the Root Chakra, represents our foundation and is all about feeling grounded and secure. Here's the quick skinny on what you need to know about Root Chakra healing:
Location of our Root Chakra: Base of spine in tailbone area.
Emotional issues affecting our Root Chakra: Survival issues such as money and food.
Color: Red
Healing Exercises:
Stomping your bare feet on the ground. Remember, the Root Chakra is all about feeling "grounded."Practicing Kundalini Yoga can open up your lower spine. Bridge Pose is another good yoga pose to try out.
Healing Foods:
Red colored foods (apples and beets)Hot spices (Red cayenne peppers and Tabasco sauce)Vegetables from the ground (potatoes and carrots)Animal proteins (red meat and eggs)
The 2nd Chakra, the Sacral Chakra, relates to our ability to feel creative, sexual, and accept change. Here's what you need to know about Sacral Chakra healing:
Location of our Sacral Chakra: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel and 2 inches in.
Emotional issues affecting our Sacral Chakra: Sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, sexuality.
Color: Orange
Healing Exercises:
Pelvic thrustsCobra Yoga Pose
Healing Foods:
Orange colored foods (oranges, tangerines)Nuts (any kind)
The 3rd Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, represents our ability to be confident and in control of our lives. Here's what you need to know about Solar Plexus Chakra healing:
Location of our Solar Plexus Chakra: Upper abdomen in the stomach area.
Emotional issues affecting our Solar Plexus Chakra: Self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem.
Color: Yellow
Healing Exercises:
Kundalini Yoga, Boat Pose (image above)Dancing. Shake those hips!
Healing Foods:
Yellow colored foods (corn)Grains and fiber (granola, whole wheat bread)Teas (peppermint, chamomile tea)
The 4th Chakra, the Heart Chakra, represents our ability to love -- the quality of our love, our past loves -- and our future loves. Here's what you need to know about Heart Chakra healing:
Location of our Heart Chakra: Center of chest just above heart.
Emotional issues affecting our Heart Chakra: Love, joy, inner peace.
Color: Green
Healing Exercises:
Bikram YogaLove, love, love. Simply opening up our hearts to others is the best healing exercise to open up the Heart Chakra.
Healing Foods:
Green colored foods (leafy vegetables, spinach)Green tea
The 5th Chakra, the Throat Chakra, represents our ability to communicate and express ourselves. Here's what you need to know about Throat Chakra healing:
Location of our Throat Chakra: Throat.
Emotional issues affecting our Throat Chakra: Communication, self-expression of feelings, speaking the truth, holding secrets.
Color: Blue
Healing Exercises:

Healing Foods:

The 6th Chakra (the Third Eye Chakra), is related to our ability to focus on and see the big picture. Here's what you need to know about Third Eye Chakra healing:

he 7th and highest Chakra, the Crown Chakra, represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. Here's what you need to know about opening and healing the Crown Chakra:

I just want to point out one thing, you say you cut out things like meat and wheat? You cut out some of the biggest energy sources you have, and lower the minerals and vitamins you get, so your sickness can be because you don't eat everything you need.

First of all your probably not doing the right exercises, chakras are best explained in Yoga so maybe try to find a Yoga scripture on chakras (kundalini yoga) writen by an INDIAN master because they would know best. Each month you can only focus on one chakra, so your schedule will look like this:

MONTH 1 : AJNA
MONTH 2 : MULADHARA
MONTH 3 : SWADHISTHANA
MONTH 4 : MANIPURA
MONTH 5 : ANHANATA
MONTH 6 : VISHUDDHI
MONTH 7 : BINDU

During this period u may not eat meat at all (or side effects like yours will arise) u must eat only healthy food, very little junk food is okay, and you have to wear natrual materials at all times so linen, silk, cotton, and preferably in white. You may also not drink any alchohol or fake juices or waters, tap water and organic milk is the best. You may also want to consider joining a yoga class for the techniques found in kundalini yoga are quite advanced. If you are still getting sick I recommend doing the crows breath daily u can find instuctions online or in a kundalini yoga book. Good luck!

Im sorry i have to post again but it is absolutley critical that you donot eat meat, have you ever wondered why hindus do not eat meat?it is because it is cruel (creulty will also not help open your chakras) and it blocks psychic passages meaning it will counter all the exersises youve done to open your chakras.

Omkara, while you have a point, its a personal choice. she could eat 'free range', 'organic' or 'cruelty free' instead of 'grocery store brand who knows who the butcher/farmer is meat'. whatever she sees is right.

energy could be pooling in these points as a result of opening them too wide. also, regarding food, eat a light food, not a heavy food, on the days you are opening you chakras. its fine if its not your focus and just happen to open the quickly, but if you are working on your throat chakra, be aware of what you eat and do that day. a heavy meal [like steak] can leave you sluggish and tired while a lighter meal [salad] can give you a bit of a lighter feeling.
