Candle Colour Changing

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to change the candle effect by writing the colour of another candle on it? For example lets say you were doing a spell that required a black candle but you only had a white candle would it still work as a black candle if you wrote "black" on it? The reason I'm asking is because on one of Akasha's videos she said this. Was possible, I would just like to know other peoples opinion on this.

No, but you can use a white candle to substitute any color. You can use the color as a theme in your ritual instead, so if you do not have a candle of that color, you can use an altar cloth of that color. The name of the color has no significance, it is the psychology and symbolism of the color itself that matters.

As Raven said, it is not the name of the color but how it effects you by visual, through psychological/symbolic means. White can be subsituted for any color.

However, if you are like me and really want the color you can change it with crayons. This works best with white as a base. Find some crayons in the color you wish to use. Melt them down in a pot (cleans off glass better) and roll, dip or pour over your candle. When doing this, make sure you do not set your candle in the pot for an extended period as it will melt. You can also buy wax paints at some craft stores.

You can also carve/paint symbols or pictures onto your candle. Make sure that they represent what you are trying to accomplish. The symbol does not have to represent this to everyone else, just you.

Visulize the candle in the color you want it to be with the attitubutes you desire. A tool is just a piece you focus on, nothing more.
