im sorry if this seems out of place on this site, but i do have a question. if people can willingly control the chemical processes in their body, then can said people (with the proper training) control their body on a cellular level?

I believe I have mentioned this in a previous post, but those who are talented enough at meditation can control their body temperature, and can be so in tuned to their self that they can feel the blood pump through their veins and control their hear rate. I can tell you that purposefully controlling one self at the cellular level is quite impossible as cells carry out their actions through preset instructions in DNA, altering them would most likely kill you or cause an upset in homeostasis, possibly cancer through rapid mitosis. Not only is it impractical on the cellular level, but the level of concentration it would take would far exceeded monk-like.

Other than that you unconsciously alter your chemistry every day, extreme stress and emotions also cause cellular change, but cells are the building blocks of everything we are, to tamper with it or to place its maintenance in the human mind would be foolish.

Those are two completely different things its like asking if a person who consciously can shut of pain dosent take damage, those people who have that level of self control only control things that they already control only they control them with the conscious mind instead of the subconscious mind like most of us do

Well, there is in fact a psichological condition that makes people loose the "perception" of something, like if you got shot in the arm and that triggers the condition, you will know that you got shot, will know that it is hurting, but will not be able to "feel" to "notice" the pain.
One of the symptoms that indicates the condition is the lack of the perception of depth, and the constant change between very diferent symptoms of very different diseaes.
