That happens to some people when the start off, practice clensing , protection, and regaining your energy after practice. When you first start magic your actually making yourself more vulnerable and make sure your not getting involved with harmful spirits.

Most Likely it's a relation to what you are or are not doing. 1 make Shure your skilled enough to cast the spell or you'll just drain yourself.
2. Be Shure you castes the circle.
3. If your a beginner don't use negotiable magick.

It is very likely merely coincidence that you have been sick since you started practicing magic. This winter has been an especially bad one for colds and flu. So likely your illnesses have far more to do with that than with magic.

You should not be practicing magick when you are ill. Unless your illness is chronic and will never go away. You should always tend to yourself during such times. It's still important to do self maintenance if you can (cleanse, ground, center, meditate, etc) but rituals and the like is never a good idea. Energy is energy. You are still putting a piece of yourself into your spellwork when you need all the strength you have to overcome what is ailing you. You are creating more of an imbalance in yourself, and illness feeds off that. So my advice is to chill out and start focusing on taking care of yourself only, and you definitely want to see a doctor if you haven't already. Your immune system sounds like it has been compromised and it isn't getting a chance to recover. You need to focus on vitamins, minerals, and supplements that will boost that. But again, speak to your doctor first. The illness could be a sign of something more serious compromising your immune system, and you want to be sure before attempting to remedy it yourself.
