Real life hogwarts

I just want to say I know Harry potter and hogwarts isn't real, along wit that type of magic. But there a Christian, catholic, lutheran schools. They are either boarding schools or regular. So I was wondering why their cant be Wiccan schools, or pagan schools, or a school that has religions that practice magick, witchcraft, and new age beliefs. Sort of like a real life hogwarts.

I'm not a Wiccan dude but am studying the Wiccan ways and just new.

I think it's because.. people think that those people who practice magick as 'evil'.

Normal people thinks about the magick practitioners as the stereotype black hooded evil guy who gathers round in circles with a huge bonfire and summons a demon to conquer the world.

Though, reality isn't that.
I'm not sure if there is a school of magick but..

Just imagine a school of magick with good guys there. And someone gets sick. People would think that the practitioners in that school did it.

Though it'd be cool if there are Wiccan schools.. right? You'll definitely see me there! :D

I think partly because wicca is a religion with structure and with room for your own beliefs. so I that would make it hard that to have a school to teach. also there are people who would try to re-form hate groups and could possibly harm though that go to the school and or burn the school. finally many teens who practice are "in the Broom Closet" so they wouldn't be able to tell there parents 'im going to this wiccan school' I have thoughts of when im older trying to make a wiccan school but I've thought a lot about the bad that could happened

There is an online wiccan school comming (so ive read.) It would be awsome to see a "real" physical school ratjer than an online school eventhough, the online school could be very helpful. Ill have to look more into it. I cant remember where i read this at lol.

I would love to go to a school like that that but, as someone said above, I'm an "in the broom closet" witch.

I believe I read something like that somewhere. A guy won the lottery and wanted to make a magic school, don't know if it happened yet, but it was in Maine.
I would provide a link but it was too long ago to remember where I saw it.

many Pagans are in the broom-closet, which could be reason one. reason two would be prejudice, how long do you think it would take close minded individuals to picket, or vandalize, the school? third, most [not sure if all] Pagan religions, Wicca especially, don't want you pushing your faith on another, including your children. they have to learn themselves. sure, you could raise them to celebrate the sabbats, and if they ask a magick related question you can explain it, but ultimately, you cannot teach your child your faith, they need to choose.

i went to a christian school as a kid, a mandatory class every day was religion, where the Anglicans went to one room, the Catholics in another, and we studied the bible. one week they choose to teach us of other faiths, but wound up telling us all faiths are evil and wrong. while i don't think a Pagan school would do that, a child cannot choose yet if they follow a certain path. public school might be your best bet in this case since church isn't aloud in the school, unless the particular child chooses to pray or worship.

Mind you, a university, while it would still deal with prejudice and vandalism, would make more sense since they're adults who have chosen their faith. my college had it's own prayer room on campus. i went there a couple times, the place had people of many different faiths, it was a quiet room for us to go and worship if we had to for whatever reason. that i'm fine with, was never bothered there.

The closet thing i think we may be able to get to a wiccan school is a school were you go to study Herbalism Astrology. Roman and Celtic mithys after real school but i would love to try to start a school like that but like i saud Pragmatism plays a big part in why we dont

I just personally want all religious schools closed down

People need to stop shoving their religions down the throats of children and let the child decide for themselves because all my cousins have attended Catholic school and most disliked it

While the majority of them are still practicing Catholics they said it just wasn't at all good as a child to have all these things explained to them they couldn't understand

Let your child grow up Agnostic or maybe just Theistic and let them decide for themselves what they believe when they're older and love your child regardless of their choice
