Heaven Bank Notes

Does anyone know how to use heaven bank notes in a ritual? My friend has passed away and I would like to use the notes, I am just not sure how.

is that a Chinese ritual where you burn the "fake" money so that a dearly departed relative can have items she/he desires?

According to this "The burned bank notes become spirit money for use in the afterlife, to pay debts and buy goods. Paper versions of household goods and other items such as cars may also be burned for use by the person's spirit." so as the above commenter mentioned it is a Chinese death ceremony/practice. It doesn't appear to be exactly ritualistic so I don't think you have to do more than simply burn the paper.
