Hey welcome to SoM! If you want to get skilled in magic(k) I recommend you practice the basics, such as:

Meditation

Visualization

Shielding

Grounding

Centering

Energy flow and control

I also think you should study various practices and paths of magic(k), correspondences, defensive and practical applications of magic(k) just to build a general wealth of magical and occult knowledge, anyhow enjoy the site and don't hesitate to ask questions, bye!
