Where to begin?

Okay, I hope that you read most of this through. I really need a mentor. Growing up as in a strict Roman Catholic household, I never felt really connected. Then I discovered Wicca, and just felt a calling. Keep in mind that I'm still a teenager, 14, so I will hopefully wait until an older age to confront my parents. Of course, I've considered Christian Wicca, I think that's probably where I am headed, however, I would still like to at least learn more about the Pagan and Wiccan Path. Do you know anywhere for me to start? I have read a bit, but I just really need someone or something to guide me....

Thanks for your time and concerns!

Try checking around the forums in the section your in right now. You can usually tell who is really knowledgeable. Try asking them to see if they teach but remember, you don't have to take everything they say as The word of God. I mean no offense to anyone saying this. I just mean that you should try to have your own opinion. I think there's a Christian Wiccan Coven. Try and look at that. Hope it helps.

If you like reading I would suggest also having a look at the books "Wicca" and "Living Wicca" by Scott Cunningham. He is a wonderful author and his books are a great place to start if you're a beginner, in my opinion.

Christian wiccans might be a good place for you to start. Here is a link to "The basics of magick" by Amber K. It goes mostly by wiccan teachings and should help get you started. Good luck and blessings on your path :)

If any gaps show up, you will need to remove them when you copy/paste.

And this is where the research begins...

The forum is a good place to start. It's good to gather info to start off. But don't forget the wide open resources we have, the internet, books, libraries, etc. There are some good Wiccan books, Scot Cunningham's is supposed to be good. If you search the internet, make sure to double check your info against other sites. But really, I suggest digging in a little before finding a mentor, to learn a little more on your own to see if it really is for you or if you would like to find another path.

Good luck!
