What trees in South Carolina can you get Dragon's Blood resin from? I'm really interested in it's magickal uses but don't want to buy the various forms of it on the online shop or possibly get fake Dragon's Blood from a store selling it. So i want to collect it myself.

The problem with finding dragons blood in the wild, is that it is an endangered plant, hence why the resin is slowly increasing in price.

It is probably best if you stick to storebought resin, even if it is just for the sake of the plant, plus dragons blood is the sap of the tree, if it is taken incorrectly you could seriously damage the tree.

Wikipedia has a nice, long list of trees whose resins are now being marketed as Dragon's Blood resin (even though the obive post is correct about the actual authentic source trees being greatly depleted in population). It may give you an idea of what to seek, but I do not think any arw indigenous to North America.
