How to say goodbye?
By:
My grandad has recently become very ill, and i am unable to say goodbye. I do not think i could face the funeral, but i was wondering if there was a ritual i could do that would allow me to say goodbye in my own way. I would bd really grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thank you.

It is a hard, and saddening situation. Without knowing you personally, or your way of coping, I do not think anyone can give you what you need.

Funerals themselves are a way of saying goodbye, honouring the person for what they did in life, and reliving past memories etc.

The funeral, the crying, and the laughter and happinees from reliving memories are all necessary to the grieving process in my opinion.

You could come up with something on your own, rituals need not be complicated, say goodbye in the way which feels right to you.

I am truly sorry for your grandfathers ill health and do hope you find a way to cope with the situation you are currently in.

Maybe light a candle, and pray to your deities, or his, on his behalf. Ask for them, or the universe, or whichever route is the way according to your belief, to send him a message. And pour your heart out to him and any other entities you choose to involve.

I am sorry for your loss. Not being able to go to the funeral (for any reason) is tough.
