Hello peoples!
Umm i was planning to make a small space in my garden to try and attract faery folk but then i realised... I wouldn't have a clue what faeries like. Does anyone have any tips on how to attract faeries or have any ideas on what i should put in my faery garden?
Thanks!

Hi! So, I've heard leaving offerings and gifts is the best way to attrack fairies. Sweets is a good way to go - muffins, cakes, brownies, that kind of thing. You can also leave dishes with sugar water to attrack some butterflies and bees, which I've heard are friends of fairies. Playing some music, especially peaceful, instrumental songs, is a good way to attrack some of our winged friends. I hope these tips were somehow useful, and good luck!

Since fae folk are of nature it's best to use natural supplies for making your garden. So using wood and sturdy plant parts, natural and organic, nature-friendly materials such as non-toxic paints, etc. As far as offerings go, sweets can be good but could also be harmful to any animals wandering around that get curious so I've heard it's best to leave natural things such as berries and nuts and fruits. Still sweet, but nature-friendly. Whatever you do, do NOT use ANYTHING with iron. In old and modern beliefs, the fae hate iron because (now I could be wrong but if I remember correctly) it's not a naturally occurring metal so much as man-made, the fae find it to be an abomination and it's believed that iron is harmful to faeries. Use anything nature-friendly, naturally occurring, or anything made from natural resources. The music and offerings are a good idea. Some little houses, water, any kind of plants or flowers that the fae favorite over others, etc. I'm not an expert or anything but I do know at least this much haha, I'm actually wanting to do a fairy garden of my own! So that being said I've looked into this quite a bit haha. Also if you can leave anything shiny for the fae, they love shiny things. So jewels, crystals, shiny rocks, etc. I hope you can get it worked out and I hope your garden turns out well!

Fairies are mostly attracted to positive energy. Flowers that are bright and represent things like love, power, devotion, etc... fairies love. Also, remember that when planting or adding these flowers to the garden make sure to do it with love and positive energy.

Here are some flowers that I read fairies love:

  • Cowslips (Said to be loved and protected by the fairies)
  • Daffodil (Helps with inner beauty, and self-love)
  • Daisy (Fairies love daisies, it was said that daisies were often used to try and connect with fairies)
  • Forget-Me-Not ( A symbol of love and devotion, said to help protect the fairies)

These are just a couple different flowers you can add to your fairy garden. Don't forget that fairies love offerings and anything sweet.

Another question on this subject, if you don'y have a proper garden and you have a bunch of potplants on your balcony, can you attract faeries to your potplants?
