well mine was good as always, it's my favourite of the sabbats, so i tend to go all out lol. [had a turkey breast marinating for two days, it was so good] i spent the day cleaning and cleansing the house for the winter months, meditated, spent some time in reflection, called my family just to chat. [they're not pagan but it doesn't hurt to call and chat 'just cuz'] i was planning a walk in the woods by my house but it was so hot that day i just sat on the balcony and worked on my plants [my aloe vera has sprouted tiny plants, and they're big enough to be removed and transplanted, which is a good thing because i don't want my aloe to die] my ritual was very informal since this year i live too far away from my covenmates to do anything. i have a permanent altar so i would keep candles and incense burning all day, occasionally stopping to say stuff at it [say give an offering, or say a prayer. at one point i found an old hairclip i thought i loss so i ran over and started freaking out 'look what i found' lol, seems silly i know, but it's just something i do]

what did you do on Mabon?

My first Mabon as a solitary witch. Previously we had unbelievable fun. We set up different Rituals to honour the Mother Goddesses, especially Rhea. We brew different potions to heat up the day. Moreover,we offer large offering to our respected Deities. We spent the evening dancing and chanting. Lastly, we had a private meeting between us and then we left.
This Mabon, I only Wrote a short prayer and had a good Mabon diet. I was satisfied.

You know, I finally decided to start celebrating the Holy Days this year...and EVERY SINGLE one of them, I have either forgotten about or something comes up with work and I can't get to a ritual or anything. I just hope I get all my stuff together for Samhain haha. But yea, this Mabon I worked and didn't remember until the following day. Maybe next year, eh?

Thanks for letting me rammble,
Many Blessings!

Lol had that problem myself for some time. Like I knew the dates but I'd be like 'shoot, it was Lammas last Tuesday!... Ah well.' I've come to believe you have a 3 day window for most of the holidays to do something [big or small. Most full moons I just stand outside in the moonlight] try a reminder on your phone [I set one up like 5 years ago, helped me keep on top of things back then. Now I just yell at the phone 'I know it's Mabon today phone!']
