Well, you have Valhalla, ruled by Odin, which is where one half of the fallen of battle go. The other part is Folkvangr, ruled by Freyja. Then there's Helheim, ruled by Hel, is where the rest of the fallen go if they have not died in some sort of battle.

Short and sweet. Any questions?

Helheim is described rather peacful. Anyone high or low gets thier fair share. It's also described as quiet, haunting, ect.

Folkvangr is described as a meadow where the other half of the fallen in battle go to rest until Ragnarok.

Is Nastrond a part of Helheim? I recently read something about it in the poetic edda.
