Wiccan Law
By:
So ive seen a post about "fake" magic laws on a tv show and people asking about "hurt spells". Wicca is not about causing harm. Wicca is about the positive energy you can use to change your aura or current situation (within reason of course)I just wanted to post the REAL wiccan laws because so many people think the movie magic is real. So....here ya go :)
The Law
-We are of the old ways, among those who walk with the goddess and god and receive their love.
-Keep the Sabbats and Esbats to the best of your abilities, for to do otherwise is to lesson your connections with the Goddess and God.
-Harm none. This, the oldest law, is not open to interpretation or change.
-Shed not blood in ritual; the Goddess and God need not blood to be duly worshipped.
-Those of our way are kind to all creatures, for hurtful thoughts are quite draining and aren’t worth the loss of energy. Misery is self-created; so too, is joy, so create joy and disdain misery and unhappiness. And this is within your power. So harm not.
-Thou shall not reveal the secrets of another of the Craft or another coven. For others have laboured long and hard for them.
-Refrain from speaking ill of others, for not all truths of the matter may be known.
-Speak not of the affairs of the craft or of the coven to those who do not follow the path of the wise. Teach only what you know, to the best of your ability, to those students whom seek you out, but teach not to those who would use your Instructions for destruction or control. Also, teach not to boost pride, forever remember: she who teaches for vainglory shall take little pride in her handiwork; she who teaches out of love shall be enfolded in the arms of the Goddess and God.
-Ever remember that if you would be of our way, keep the Law close to your heart, for it is the nature of the Wicca to keep the Law.
-If ever the need arises, any law may be changed and new laws written to replace them, so long as the new laws don’t break the oldest law of all:
harm none.

Blessings

Wicca is the most misunderstood religion. It is always labeled as "Evil / Satanism". Those who doesn't understand Wiccans, thinks of witches that bargains with Satan for Magic and powers. (LOL) Them definition is too old. It's just sad, because Wiccan's are peaceful ones. Who believes in God and Goddesses and honoring the Earth and practices balance way of living.

Not a bad post, but not all Wiccans follow this. Just like not all witches follow the 13 laws of being a witch [know thyself, know thy craft, learn, apply your learning...] Some of these might apply to one coven, while others might not. Example, bloodshed. What if the person/coven practices blood magick? I know the last one is they can change as it is seen fit, but this doesn't feel like a law then, just a suggestion. The Rede is a fact of a Wiccans life, but it can be interpreted differently. This list should be read and reflected on, but the Wiccan in question should decide for themself what they should hold as a sacred law. Just saying.
