grounding

Tree of Life

Sit in a meditative position. Breathe in through your nose and out your mouth. Imagine your feet turning into tree roots running deep within the earth. Allow you roots to stretch on and on. Your body turns into a tree trunk rising tall and powerful. Your arms become branches full of leaves and life.

Have your roots bring in the pure energy on the earth. Have the energy run through the trunk and up and out the branches. Have this energy banish all the negative energy you have. Let it replenish the cells and let you fell connected to all life.
Upon finishing let the light slowly fade from the branches and run down the trunk back into the earth. Your arms and legs and body returning back to normal. Thank the earth for the energy it has provided.
Steps
1. Sit in meditative position
2. Have body slowly turn into a tree
3. Have roots stretch deep within earth and branches rise high into the sky
4. Pull energy in from the earth up through the tree and out the branches
5. Become bathed in the golden light
6. Have light banish negative energy and replace with pure
7. Stay on 6 for as long as you wish
8. Slowly let light fads from branches and run back down trunk to earth
9. Have body return to normal
10. Thank earth for the energy it has provided

I think that the original came from Starhawk's book, "Spiral Dance"

Note that there are many different ways to ground both meditation of movement or stillness. Great post by the way
