Help with Shingles
By: / Novice
My grandma has come down with Shingles and I was wondering if there was some sort of herb or something that would help with the pain or make it go away quicker. I was thinking of using it in a tea. Thank you for your time and if you can help it will be much appreciated.

Common cause for shingles is rection to medication.Others include food allergies(especially MSG,chlorinated water, diary, constipation, etc.)My aunt also once had shingles.I do remember some remedies she used.To soothe and heal, the herbs licorice, enchinacea and flax seed oil may be taken regularly. For blisters-lemon balm, aloe vera, yellowroot, peppermint, rosemary, sage, thyme and calendula. These herbr may be incorporated into cream or ointment.Amino acid lysine which includes legumes, soybeans, spinach, etc. may also help.Cayenne pepper reduces pain.

Licorice, echinacea, flax seed oil for the flare ups. St. John's Wort or ginseng for nerve damage.
