did you try dream pillows? certain smells can effect your dreams. certain food as well, my friend eats cheese when she wants to remember her dreams. personally i avoid cheese, it gives me horrible nightmares.

something i've noticed recently, if you have a tarot deck, sleep with it under your pillow. i use to be told by family who read to place it under your pillow, it not only feeds your energy into the deck, but it can effect your dreams. from what i've seen, my dreams are extremely vivid, old reoccurring dreams, and/or lucid.

keep up with your dream journal, also keep a tape recorder or something by your bed, the second you wake up, grab it and recite what you remember. if you're artistic in any way, sketch scenes you remember [doesn't have to be perfect, just to help you remember items/layout/colours] that another key point, most people dream in black and white and only add colour later. people with strong psychic abilities, or have practiced with dreaming for a long time actually dream in colour. if you have a dream and for some reason a yellow bird [example] really stands out to you, it's because that was the only part of your dream in colour. so you don't have to write in sentences, you could write 'yellow bird' 'cloudy' 'winter' 'sweet smell' little phrases. while knowing more about the dream would be good, it will come later. knowing these things, like a yellow bird, can help you when you analyze the dream.

hope some of that helped. there's many other things you could try, but i'd hold off until you're able to remember more of the dream.

I have noticed I best remember dreams when I first wake up and don't move around, though even a turn of the head can slip the thought back into my subconscious. Just let it flow naturally as much as you can, because if you frustrate yourself in trying hard to remember it, in only sets up a mental block. In those moments before I get up from bed, I replay the dream in my mind. I won't remember every detail, but you would be surprised at what you do remember.

You can also ritually set up and cleanse the area around your bed. Not only does this effect the energy, it plays into your subconscious, where your dreams and emotions are rooted. During your dreams and when you wake up, your subconscious will remember the actions you did to get it's attention and I have a feeling this might help.

There is also a technique called dream re-entry where you build upon what you remember in a meditative state. The trick is to get your mind closer to the subconscious state, so maybe try a different meditative technique to get you there, as you might not have had success with the way you are trying.

Dreams are supposed to be guidelines on things that have happened, that will happen & are happening, they are supposed to be linked to reality in some way, if you don't remember your dreams it probably means that you have no questions that need to be answered because your conscious state already knows the answer. But this is just based loosely on what I have learned in my studies. May your spirit be lively and joyous :)

Meditation teaches you to gain a measure of control over your own mind. It takes major dicipline to sit for hours and meditate. When you can dicipline your mind you can start remembering things better when you dream. Also we don't usually remember our dreams unless it is something really important. Most of our dreams is just our mind getting rid of alot of the garbage it collects during our day.

There have been many good ideas listed above. A dream pillow or dream catcher may aid you in remembering your dreams better. Both are used to effect dreams and the dreaming process. Meditation is also going to help you to increase your skills in many different ways. It will help you to train your brain as well as open yourself up to receive information. I suggest working with your chakras to facilitate increased abilities as well. With your chakras opened and aligned you will better receive information and stimulate your entire body to help with brain function. Remember everything is connected and if your heart chakra is weak then your crown and other chakras are not working to their fullest capacity. If you don't have good blood flow to the brain then the brain becomes weaker and so will the chakras located near the brain. Be sure to eat healthy and get plenty of exercise.

Before going to sleep, what i recommend is to ffall asleep to the mantra "I will remember my dreams". It may sound really silly for few folks who get to hear this mantra, but I do this everynight for a week before asking for questions to be answered through my dreams to make sure I will remember any answers given.

Eventually you will begin remembering bits and pieces. When you wake, don't get up right away. Try not to move at all. People who don't have good dream recall are usually ones who jump out of bed immediately. Think back about that night and go over any dreams or fragments you remember. Once you've consciously gone over anything that was recalled that night, sit up SLOWLY, continuing to concentrate on what you remember. Have a notebook (it's basically called a 'dream journal' as Nash explained to you) and pen ready at the side of your bed. Write down every detail that you remember. This should be also done if you wake up in the middle of the night too.

Do this everynight for two weeks and you'll notice a big difference. Do it for a month and you'll begin remembering full dreams, sometimes even multiple ones depending on how pertinacious you are with this method.
