Paganism

Just ranting about my thoughts on paganism. the following definition is mine alone and I do not claim it to be what others would define it as. Paganism is an umbrella term meant to describe many diffent religions other than christianity. Religions that work with (better phrase than worship) such pantheons like olympian, egyptian, celtic, norse, ext. I find it neccessary to point out that wicca and paganism are not the same thing. Wicca is one form of paganism. the problem with defining what paganism is is that since it is an umbrella term ithe definition will vary a good amount. Pagans do not believe in satan. Most if not all believe in pan who is the god of nature. Christians took pan and demonized him in order to convert people out of fear and thus the christian anti christ satan was born. Well im done with my ranting now. Hope this helped someone.

Good, but not quite correct. It was the early Christians who coined the word Pagan, as being any religion other than Christianity. In that sense, even Islam is Pagan! And every other religion on the planet!

That's true Brysing. Pagan is a nicer word that Christians used. I prefer it over the others...heretic, heathen, blasphemer, devil, scum, etc =P

And bravo Chrono, very nice definition.
