Faith is a burden,.

From my faint remembrance of what fail feels like, its putting oneself under burden of ignoring the totally obvious or the reasonably obvious facts that something will work. While i am pretty sure from experience that faith is not needed in magic and spells, i wonder if it enhance it, or speeds it up. I cast spell for a lot of people and the keep telling me that they have faith in my magic that it will work. i will just laugh and sometimes i tell them my mind, it doesn't really matter if you have faith or not. magic is logic, its calculated, if done the way it should be done, the result will always be the same. But i guess this is a religious thing, faith is needed.

From my own experience, as a christian, faith is very essential, i mean for any miracle to happen, for anything positive to happen in your life you need faith and personally peaking it put me in a state of self consciousness all the time because i cannot afford to go out of that frame, a little slide and it will be an excuse when things don't work out fine, "you faith is not enough"
The first time you wanted to cast a spell for me, i allied the same principle and when you told me it is not really important i still kept the faith because i couldn't believe anything could happen without faith. But it happened and even after that. i later knew faith is not needed when that issue of throat cancer happened, i am talking about my friend who had throat cancer and you healed, she has no believe at all, no iota of belief, she only gave it a trial and as much as i tried to convince her that things will work out fine she didn't believe and it didn't stop her from getting well.
so that day i knew that faith is not integral to magic

If you don't have faith in your own capacity, it derails your focus and conviction. You need to have confidence you can apply what knowledge you've gained.

Everything needs abit of self confidence really.

AT flag: faith is so different from confident, now i am talking about faith as a recipient of spell activity not as a spell caster, i as a spell caster i have a very deep conviction that my spell is going to work but in the case of the person who need the spell done for him or her. ok look at it like this, i want to cast a love spell for you, you dont need faith for it to work, either you believe or not it will work, i want to cast spell to give you bad dream, you neccessarily dont have to believe it is going to work, coz it doesnt make it less potent. Having faith is different, when as a christian you need a miracle in your life, faith is very essesial.

Olukoso,

You asked if faith is able to enhance spells, and I answered that Self faith is essential.

Although a total lack of or denial of magic or psionics doesn't give a protection, it can increase difficulty of preformance near said people, because their minds are essentially pushing back on what we are attempting. In that essence a Lack of faith or a purposeful disbelief can be adverse to magic, and if that is so the reverse would be true as well.

A person can be confident and still not have faith in themselves.

I would also say that any religion, not just christianity, counts faith as important

Now in a way i can understand olokuso's point but the fact remains you can't do magickal work without faith, my 2 cents is you must pass through that level of faith before moving into "knowing"

i believe i can - transitions into i know i can

Ok i understand you, but the with what you say you limit the abilities of magic and spells, let me tell you about my first spell, one day my grand father was out of the house to get some herbs then curious me went into a book of invocation owned by my late grand dad and started a process just out of curiosity, no faith no confidence nothing just curious me. then after minutes of reciting these words, the room started shaking like as if in case of an earth quake, then smokes of course i dropped the book and ran away met my grand dad who percified for me and set everything back now that what magic should be not something connected to the belief system associated with Christianity or any other religion
