Hi, I'm Ivy and I'm new to magic. No matter how much I read about it, it still confuses me. I think I'm missing something important about it. No one in my family does magic except for me, so I need someone to teach me. Please, if you will, can someone help me with my magic studies?

Of course your books are confusing,pandora! This is because there are so many different "paths" of magic; all with differing ideas as to what magic is. This really is why I always advise beginners that magic cannot be learnt from reading alone; it needs a personal teacher to show magic, what it is, and how it works. What it can do, and what it cannot!
There are many on this site who claim to "teach". Many of them wouldn't know real magic if it jumped up and bit them! The moderators seem to know what they are doing; so ask of these, not just the members.
I agree to brysing too. the moderators are the one to be ask..
I do ask them some stuffs if I'm confused sometimes...
the who assist me before was a moderator too..
Your books will just confused you more, you need someone to assist you in your journey...
Hey ivy im matt and i am just like you im very very new to magic as well and would love to find a teacher/ mentor so if you have found one let me know cause i just like your self have done ALOT of reading about the subject and i am getting very confused about the information as well if you would like you could add me as a friend here on som and we could both kinda help each other out as well as finding a mentor thanks and blessed be
Weve all been there & to a dergree still are, dont stress to much about it. Time is the best teacher , Id be willing to offer advice or assistance but I belive you need to teach 1-2-1 really, everyone is different and a teacher becomes a friend over time, do chose your teacher as you would a best friend, look for the same qualities in a teacher. Over time you tend to pick up a few of there habits and ideosyncracies
