Altar Direction

Hello Everybody:) I know that the traditional altar directions are North and East, and I just moved my altar. In the old location, it was facing North, now it's in my room facing East. Should I keep the elements in their same places (i.e. North-Salt, East-Incense, etc.) Or now that it's facing East should I move the Salt to the left quarter, so that it's still in the North, and so on? Thanks!

In the Tradition in which I trained if one changed the direction to which the altar was facing we also changed the position of the representations of the Elements on the altar so they were correctly aligned to their associated direction.

Other Trads may well do differently, and unless you are working within a specific Tradition I would say that the choice is really up to you.
