Offerings to the Gods?
By:

I just recently started to practice, and i wanted to make some kind of offering for the God and Goddess (Lord and Lady) to somehow show my devotion to them, kind of like a "presenting myself to them" kind of ritual. But I wasn't sure what kind of food should i present to them.

Are there specific foods and drinks suitable for them?

Thanks everyone! Blessings!

Offerings can be as simple as juice and cookies or as complicated as a bit of the first pieces of dinner and beer. It really depends on what you have available :)

Thanks for that! It's late and I didn't have much available options.

Use anything that you have that you think they will like :)

I always kind of thought, unlike some named deities, the Lord and Lady were like parents, and so like yours now, they'll accept most anything as long as you give it with love and a pure heart. Kind of like when you were little, your parents never cared if your drawings were sloppy or that half of your stick figures looked like they were sketched by an eel in a car accident because they knew that they were crafted with love. The Lord and Lady are the same way. That doesn't mean that you can just be lazy on the offerings, of course, because they can tell when you're not sincere, but your offerings don't have to be lavish or expensive.

yeah I agree mostly with lavendarc.
I'm unfamiliar with the "lord and lady" things you reference but with artemis and the gods/goddesses I worship it depends on the ritual, for example:
a thanks for everything ritual would tend to be quite extravagant and I'd use as many crystals, candles, food items and drink I could even going as so far to get items of meaning to the diety.
On the other hand a just reminding you of me and saying I'm still loyal ritual might be just a muffin or 2, a drink and a few candles. The gods know the meaning behind the words

You can look up some cake/cookie recipes for offerings if you want but provided you chose it out of love and not necessity [Example, choosing to give your favourite cookie, over running into the kitchen and going 'good enough'.] We can't all bake and we don't all have the time, just keep an open mind. When it comes to food offerings maybe put a little aside from dinner to give, or if you're out for a walk and see a bakery, pop in and buy something just for the Lord and Lady you think they'd like.

You can also do non-food offerings of just about anything. As lavenderc pointed out they are our parents. What loving parent would be handed a macaroni necklace by their 3 year old throw it back and go 'bah! You call this a gift?!' No, and neither would the gods provided it's out of love. Again, you're in a hurry and light some incense you know they like, that's fine, if you're in a hurry and grab a rock you found and throw it on the altar, not so much. Another thing you can do, when you're out on a walk, pick up little things that catch your eye as offerings. You see an interesting rock shaped like a heart, pick it up, you see the first flower of the season [depending on your views] pick it. A feather, a leaf, a branch, if it peaks your interests pick it up. Perhaps decorate your altar. If you feel the rock or stick or whatever is too plain, decorate it. Ostara is coming up, paint some eggs and present them as a gift.

pay attention that offerings often need to be blessed first so they be pure when they are offered to the gods... there are lot of ways (depends on practice and your path) how do you do offerings... i would recomend some semiprecious stones like turquoise, labradorite, opal... this works the best :)
