Dangers of a poppet?

I have a close relative who made herself a poppet to carry out tasks for her, however I'm very concerned with the dangers in this; such as if someone else got their hands on it or something. It only responds to her and I trie looking online but only found talk about vudu. Should I be concerned or worried about her poppet?

Like any tool in magic the power doesn't come from the poppet but it's user. If it got in the wrong hands it wouldn't be anymore dangerous whith or without it. If you sense danger the poppet isn't where you should be looking to unveil it.

Also if there is any worry, magic is the purest expression of a persons life essence. It will hurt that which the caster desires if that is their true intent. If there is any question in doubt in her mind then the magic won't work.

If someone got ahold of it and knew what they were doing, it could be used as a means of connection to her. Do not let this stifle her use of a poppet. If she looses it, she should disconnect from it. This can be done by stating out loud that it is no longer hers, nor carries her energy.

Poppets can be some of the easiest, magic works.

There are many ways, that in the end, you can almost, always get rid of, it.

I'm a bit confused. You say that the poppet carries out tasks for her? What exactly do you mean when you are talking about tasks? I'm asking because I'm wondering if we are discussing the right thing here.
