Do you think it's possible for one person or one group of people to take over the world? I think it may be possible with all the advances in technology.

I highly doubt it. The world has a population of 7 billion and it is increasing. One person or group could not handle that much. Plus technology will always have bugs and even the highly advance technology wouldn't do such a thing. There are more people that believe in free will out there, if I am correct, though I have not research that before. By the time if it does become possible with technology then the world will probably be at it's end which prevents it from happening. Though asking if it's possible is a matter of opinion.

Simply put, no. I don't believe one person (technology or not) has the ability to take over a world that contains as many people with differing needs, wants and desires as this one has.

Simply put, it's possible. Is it possible in today's society, I personally think no, with no amount of current day technology will be able to perform such a feat, future technology, possibly we'll just have to see.

Money runs the human world. Really, power is in the hands of a very few people already. Those who control the worlds purse strings, have the most power. Even countries depend upon international banking, credit and lending. Right now, the world currency is based upon the US dollar. There are people working constantly to undermine the United States position as a economic power. China is trying to replace it with the Yen, as we speak.
Would they ever hold total world domination? Not in the sense that they will rule every humans entire day, from sun up, to sun down, birth to death, but they can control consumer goods, lending, credit and currency easily. They could manipulate so many things that modern people count on.
No matter what happens,I believe an opposite reaction will always occur. Because, for every action, there is always a related and equal reaction. That is a universal law of nature.

Mmm, I don't think that's possible. If it's done in the wrong way people would revolt and everything would go crashing to the ground. It's just the way of people; they don't like being controlled in that way.

I won't deny inequality is a huge problem, but the rich are far from a ruling class. Wealth is based on an economic system reliant upon the willful participation of everyone. For example, if everyone decided to stop using the accepted currency, then all wealth based on that currency would lose value. Any person intelligent enough to run the system is also smart enough to know how badly the system would suffer if a single person a group gained total control, resulting in failure.

Additionally, rich people are very diverse, just like the rest of us, and have various competing affiliations that prevent them from joining forces to create a powerful enough force to surpass opponents. Even if there were a group of people motivated solely by greed, they would never work together because they'd all know their associates would backstab them. I used to be a conspiracy theorist, then I found out that the ideas behind such theories simply don't work in reality.
