Shamanic practitioners?
By:
Post # 1
Hey, I was just wondering if there's any shamanic practitioners here who could maybe help me to connect better with my Tiger totem (Bali)?

I feel like he's always with me, but I was wondering how I could feel more connected to him and what ways can I honor him?

Thanks for any helpful advice :)

Honor your spirit animal guide
Wear jewelry and clothing illustrating your totem;
Decorate your space with pictures and other memorabilia;
Educate yourself on its life and habits;
Visit the habitat of your spirit guide;
Help protect its home, contribute time and resources.

Meditation is often key. Meditate daily ask them how to connect better with you and what they suggest.

You need to improve your trance work and get used to altered states of mind. Leave the tangible world behind and work with the spirit in a trance. Breathing exercises will help. Rhythm and music helps for some as well.Reach an altered state of mind and then try to communicate with your totem spirit. Call it to you and ask it for its guidance. When it is ready it'll come to you. A visual aid helps. Perhaps an image of a tiger or construct a totem dedicated to the tiger. Visualize, meditate, and work on trances. Good luck!

Other than everything else which other people suggested i would add that you should dance out your totem .For this put some drumming as music and then simply ask your totem to tell you how to dance its dance .Some spirits have thier own songs and some have thier own dance ,which you can use to connect to them and call upon them .This dance should include certain behaviour characteristics of this totem ,such the way tyger walks ,look around ,smells and so on .The main idea is to energatically shift your energy to similar shape of your totem ,that happens with time and with the teaching of the animal itself .
In order to be something else you need to be not that much you .
Now i am sure this will look rather ridiculous but it is powerful experience ,and it does make your bound much more personal and powerful.
It is surprising the fact that nobody mention offerings for the spirit animal .Spirit animals like offerings and they will assist you even more if you sort of offer them something in return for all the hard work they put for you .Forging bounds between two creatures always require equal involvment from both sides ,not simply we asking for favors and commanding the spirit .Being disrespectful and selfish with your spirit guides or gardians is not very good idea ,because they are not glued for you for the time being ,and they nether need to put up with your nonsences or bad behaviour .
