I like to just invoke dagaz over objects while visualizing their image fade out. People then overlook these objects and don't notice them easily. Warning! This can also cause you to overlook them if you don't remember where you put them. I drew dagaz on an envelope I keep emergency cash in. My husband asked me not to do it again, because he couldn't find it and had to wait for me to come home to get it. He knew where it was but for the life of him couldn't find it. =D

The point is, curses don't stop people from finding something and taking it. It's better to place magick on personal objects that will prevent them from taking it in the first place.

Another trick i do is to place a foreboding or ill feeling for those it doesn't belong to on such objects. People don't want to touch them because they get an eerie feeling when they go near them. It's amusing watching people look at them as if it's going to bite them! It doesn't effect me because I claim it as mine and direct it to ward off others this way.

I only put wards or protections on my spellbooks, and those people usually never learn the location of. It is not smart to curse something that people have easy access to, due to casual accidents and the like. If you want to cast a spell on an object to protect it from other people, make sure you take the mundane steps and keep them in a safe place as well otherwise the result could turn a bit ugly.

I am interested in what raven said about something that makes people overlook an object. If anyone has any information on this, please share.

similar to how you charge an object with energy to be used in a spell you would cast a spell on the object, while charging it with your hatred and negative energy. be careful though as a cursed object has the potential to curse anyone who comes in contact with it. [also as it needs to always be said in these situations *wags finger* curses are wrong so don't do it. you reap what you sew... i'll go now]

Dagaz is a rune (symbol/sigil) that is known for many things including illusions. It looks like a sideways hourglass. When drawing it or tracing it over an object, it is best to sing or "galdr" the rune name as you focus on it. Use the sound to invoke the energy/spirit of the name through yourself and into your symbol. I find it most important that the sounds are drawn out so that every letter vibrates. Day Gah zzzz. Do this as many times as you wish until you are confidant in the work. The fewest times I say the rune is 9, once for each of the 9 realms of Norse myth. But for important work, like healing, I've used galdr for upwards of 30 minutes, much like a mantra as I focus on the goal. Its intuitive work. You get a sense for it. You Tube has a few good galdr videos. You'll be surprised if you search "galdr" there.
