light bell ringing

Does anyone know the sounds of bell lightly ringing bell in a distance--its sort of like a medium distant not too far away but not close and its definitely not tinnitis coming from within the ear. It happens every few minutes sometimes longer. It is quite pretty sound not too loud - gentle and soft. Was wondering if anyone else had this occurrance and the significance of it. I wonder what is behind this sound, what is means.
