Well i know how you feel about that one. Because if sometimes if i feel scared of something from a dream or entity etc. I do pray to the archangels Michael Rapheal. Even know i don't believe in god and i am Luciferian. Michael and Raphael have always been there when ever i needed them. I talk to mostly Demons, but i do talk to archangels only if i need them. There very protective and always will be there with you. Plus Raphael has always made me feel better. :)

I know demons could help too, but sometimes i always talk to them. Because i know there are evil spirits out there that are not demons. That can sometimes try to harm or scare you to death.

If you wish to pray. Try praying to someone that you believe in and feel at heart the most. They will always be there with you. Even if you can't feel or see them. Mostly i know this because i can feel their energy if i ask them for any guidance etc. I know i am safe. I always have other protection too from evil or negative energy.

I hope this helps you.

Prayer can at least be comforting, and at most very powerful. After all, what is prayer? A Catholic may light a candle and then say a prayer. A small "ritual". Usually asking the "Gods", or whatever God the belief, for some sort of help. So, what is a spell? Is it not a ritual "wish"? You perform a "ceremony" and ask for help. It is prayer. I am a witch, but I really cannot see much difference, except that with a spell we are "harnessing" energy for power!

Prayer is as prayer does. We all pray in different ways and to different beings. Our actions and words are the least of what is important when we pray. Our thoughts and feelings are what actually has an impact on the powers at be. I suggest being thankful when you pray after all it is the least you can be when conversing with another being that is willing to listen to your and help you.
