In any type of magic, taliman or no, there are no hard and fast rules about when to expect results.

But every newbie always asks, so I counsel folks on what i was taught, the rule of three, when looking to see if spells are manifesting:

Within three days, look for signs either for or against your work. Within three weeks, look for definite movement. Within three months, for most workings you should have your result; if not, try again, give up, or rework your magical goals.

I created what I call a Sigil Talisman / Amulet, I call it both cause sometimes I carry it with me and other times I set it on the mantle in the living room.

When I moved into my new house, nearly 4 years ago, up until I created my "talisman" I hated this house. It just never felt safe to me. (The house was built just for my family, on the same property our old house was on, until that house burnt.)

But then I created my "talisman" I placed it on the mantle in the living room, (I created it in Feb 2009) and things in the house have started to feel better for me.

I'm starting to finally feel safe here.

I personally recharge, rebless, & re-empower my "talisman" every so often. I try to do it at least once a month, but lol I didn't get to it in May.

But so for me, the talisman works great!

I find talismans can work in a building way. You may start out with one that feels as if nothing is happening but as times goes by it builds up energy and becomes more affective. As LdyGry stated it may take weeks or even months but I always say to keep it in the forefront of your mind in a way that you think about it at least once a day. Even your thoughts after you make it can effect it's outcome.

I have carried the same Gris Gris bag for years. It started out as a very traditional luck bag, but from time to time, I add something or take something out. It seems to grow in power the longer I carry it.
