Careful with scams!

Ok so I've gotten my card reading from so many different people. Some I've liked and some I haven't. One thing for sure that most of them told me exactly the same thing. Except for one, this one lady I went to about 3 weeks ago. The environment was so awkward, like near the door. No privacy. I am gay so when talking about past, obviously my ex comes up and it's kind of awkward her talking about other men and other people being able to hear. I consulted her about some magic work I had done and she right away recommended for her to do it, she recommended some candles and she said she would prepare them herself. She said otherwise you won't get your ex back, and the cost was about 120$
So I said No. And she was trying to convince me. I felt weird and just wanted to get out of there. No unclear answers. Anyway, point of the story is, that when I was thinking of going there, the environment made me uneasy. So if you get that feeling when you're about to get your cards read or feel something suspicious, no matter how desperate just leave. It can be a waist of money. My friend does some great Spanish card readings, and no one I've met can top that. I hope I can meet someone on here who is as good as him -_-

There will always be scammers on-line or not. If you're asking for an on-line tarot reading, be careful, check if the person as a trust-worthy reputation, make sure he/she isn't asking for money, etc.

You will find some really good information on this subject in " Forums -> Fortune Telling - > When Asking for a Reading ".

When going for a tarot reading ( face-to-face ), ask before-hand if they are charging and how much they charge, some scammers tend to not even touch the money subject and then charge you a ridiculous amount of money after the reading is done. Also, if you'd like some privacy, don't be afraid to ask the reader to close the door or something, you're supposed to feel at least stable during a reading, not watched over or something.

Thank you for the info. Most of the tarot readers charge around 25 dollars so it's not that bad. And it always seems that most of them are Hispanic lol

Same thing goes with ANY referals for Vodou practicioners and Shamans.

The moment it feels like they're leading you on- they are. Trust your gut.

Also, There isn't one tribal religion where it's okay to charge for spiritual services- so it's an auto-NOPE should ANYONE try doing that to you.

There is a point where it is a scam and were it isnt. $120 is rediculous, but you should also be compensated fpr your time and effort, especially if it is your livelyhood, im not going to go to anstpre and sweep their floors for free out of the goodness of my own heart. but otherwise i agree with everything here.

If the reader is going to charge you should have that cleared up before the reading. you knownwhat you will be expected to pay and they cant blindside you with extra charges for the reading. you can also at that point make it clear that you arent interested in extra services like blessed candles or spells cast on your behalf.

@agiel i feel the love thank you
