Many spells here are fake, but only because many have been posted by those who don't understand what real magick can and cannot do.

Most of the long time members here are long-time practitioners, and are very knowledgeable in the practice. The website is more to offer guidance than to be copied and pasted, spells can be taken and adapted, used for inspiration or you can talk with other members for guidance or discussion.

The website is for genuine magick and genuine practitioners, but many of the spells should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Lots but it is always best to write your own, that way you are much more connected to the spell, if realistic this could give the spell a better chance of working.

A good post is "Writing your own Spells" by Lark: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=829629

I know that someone already answered this, but some are fake and some are not. But the best to save your energy is to not waste them on fantasy spells, think about mermaid spells. Do you really honestly think you can change who you were born into some other creature? But some realistic spells on here have purposes, I was going to suggest the Lark topic as well. If you're just starting out, read some articles and books about it. You should get pretty good info, it's really helping me and it's helping me give better advice as well. But if you need help on anything you can contact a knowledgeable person to help you that you feel comfortable with.

I really hoped this helped you!
