Spiritual Time Travel

Considering that spirits and souls are not bound by the laws of time and space, couldn't there be a way to send ones own soul back in time to inhabit our own body (or past incarnation) to alter events (or correct our own serious mistakes that ruined our lives)?

What in the world makes you believe that souls are not bound by the laws of space and time?

Oh well, such theories countless. But without proof you cannot judge. Such an idea could be a solution on the death process. But, life and death is part of fate and you cannot change the fate.

Because a spirit and soul are in essence the same thing. Souls reside on the corporeal plane within a vessel while spirits exist within the non-corporeal planes, and there have been instances where people have been able to astral project themselves into the past, also there have been many occult studies that have discovered future incarnations (a reincarnation from a point in the future) through hypnotic regression therapy, also the concept of overlapping incarnations (the same soul existing twice within the same time period and plane as two separate individuals), also the cases where the recently deceased appear to multiple people simultaneously regardless of where they are at the exact moment of death. Many powerful spirits are able to exist in multiple places simultaneously

"and there have been instances where people have been able to astral project themselves into the past"

Actually it's commonly accepted that people are projecting into an astral recreation or echo of the past, not the "actual" past.

"also there have been many occult studies that have discovered future incarnations (a reincarnation from a point in the future) through hypnotic regression therapy"

That they found out what they would be in the future is not at all the same as being in the future. If I find out it's raining in Italy I'm not suddenly transported into an Italian rainstorm.

"also the concept of overlapping incarnations (the same soul existing twice within the same time period and plane as two separate individuals)"

Could you perhaps link me to some resource elaborating upon overlapping incarnations?

"also the cases where the recently deceased appear to multiple people simultaneously regardless of where they are at the exact moment of death."

I will remind you that the operative word here is appear. We don't know that this is actually the deceased being in all these places, but perhaps simply communicating in a way that the mind interprets via physical apparition.

"Many powerful spirits are able to exist in multiple places simultaneously"

That an angel or a god or some such is able to do this is not at all the same as a soul being able to do it, regardless of whether or not they are both of spirit. Tornadoes, puppies, and myself are all of the physical, and the puppies and I are even both mammals, but I can think of a lot of things one of us can do and the other two cannot.

I got the name wrong on the overlapping incarnation thing it is actually called split incarnation http://www.iisis.net/index.php?page=semkiw-split-incarnation-parrellel-lives-reincarnation-past-life-research&hl=en_US
Also I was able to put a spell together to attempt spiritual time travel, and now I wouldn't recommend it. When I tried it, the astral travel portion was the easy part, I found the exact moment I wanted (it was a point within my own life). Things went wrong when I tried to enter my own body in that time frame, I will just say one thing, it was extremely painful, like I was trying to rip a part of my body off. I'm am defiantly not going to do anything like that again, the bond between vessel and soul is too strong, also I recalled that the night I went to, at the exact moment I had tried to enter my body, I had started to feel "off" like something wasn't right, which led to the predicament that made me want to go to that point in the first place. I do know that if I had been able to endure the pain, it might have worked, or something terrible could have happened. To anyone who wants to try to do this, just do yourself a favor and don't

Well life and death are an inevitable, however fate is a sticky topic, because fate can be altered, that is because free will allows for it to be so. Also there are phenominon that have been recorded that indicates that time is non-linear. Examples include time slips (where people end up in another time for a short period, usually for no more than a few hours), time windows (a phenominon where past events are visible and audible but not usually tangible, and it is sometimes two way, where both sides can see and hear each other. Time windows usualy collaps within moments), there are too many to list, besides, do we live in a linear world, able to go two diferent directions. There is also the tachyon particles, which are still theoretical however only because they are too dificult to detect (though their influence can be seen), Tachyons are said to move through time and space differently than other known particals, which has led to the non-linear time theory.

Facinating thread. I wish I could add to it, but this is not a subject I have looked into or desired to ever experiment with. I feel it is best to be left alone, as it could be dangerous on many levels...messing with something with very little understanding of it and its nature.

I've only tapped into past memories of the spirit, the records of the soul, if you will, which is a lot like stepping into a scene and being unnoticed. If they are of me, it's like reliving it without control (like a lucid dream). I never touch it, only observe and I can back out if it becomes too intense.

Time traveling is possible. An example is regression therapy; you were in another time, but you were in the clinic too.
There is a way to go back in time, however it's hard to do so.
