Advice on casting a spell
By:
I'm very new to spell casting. Recently, I was wronged by someone and would like to cast a revenge spell against them. I don't want to kill them or cause them physical harm at all. I would like to haunt them with what they did to me every single day for a period of half a year, which was how long it too this to unfold.

Do I have to be cleansed of negative energy to do this? Furthermore, how would I do this? All I feel that I'm asking for is justice...nothing more and nothing less. Advice?

Starting out?

I suggest:

Research the laws of your country on magic, some countries still outlaw the practice.

Learn what magic is, what it can and cannot do, and how it works. This will help you to separate fact from fiction as you continue your journey.

Learn about meditation, grounding and centering, energy work, and visualization. This will help you in your practice.

Research different forms of paganism and magic to find what is right for you.

Understand this is not easy, it requires work as there is no single authority on right and wrong.

Look into yourself and find what you feel is correct when it comes to morals and ethics.

No one on this path is an expert, those who claim to be are either fools or con artists.

Practice. Be mindful of events around you and see the magic in them.

Patience. This is a lifelong path, don't expect success immediately.

Education. Never stop learning. The more we learn, the more we understand, the better we get. This holds for all things, in my opinion.

Know that as you learn you will begin to think you know nothing. That is fine, most of us have been there. There is no shame in 'starting over' often you pick up things better the second, third or fourth go round.

After time learning, you will come spells.

Jeeze...who has time for all that? The boy needs results now. You could try the classic quick and dirty method of constructing a doll to represent your target (or alternatively purchasing a toy doll at your nearest retailer that most closely resembles your target), pairing it with a personal item from your target, and jabbing shish-kabob skewers through its head. If this doesn't work, it would probably be faster and easier to take your revenge manually. However, this doesn't mean carelessly rushing into anything.

Remember the old adage: revenge is a dish best served cold. Plan your revenge meticulously down to the last detail. Devise multiple strategies so that you can choose the one that maximizes the suffering of your target while minimizing the risk to yourself. If you choose to proceed with your revenge, be prepared to live with the consequences should your plan fail or your scheme is discovered by your target. This could make things worse for you if you are in the weaker position.

Instead of following a dark path to revenge, you could also enjoy the satisfaction of besting your enemy and making your own success your revenge. Find out what your enemy wants but has failed to acquire, then get this for yourself and relentlessly rub your achievement in his or her face.

I agree with Nordstar, you have to know what you are doing before you even attempt a spell like this, especially when you are new.

You also need to find out whether you are the kind of person to want revenge long term, or whether you can rise above it and be the better person, if you do choose to continue then you will have the knowledge and practice which will allow you to get a better result.

I was bullied since I was 5 years old, all the way through high school all those kids kept teasing me, picking on me, beating on, I took my revenge by stabbig this boy in the back with a pencil after threw me face first into a brick wall. I wanted to take some kind of revenge on every kid from every grade and school for all the wrong they did to me.

H2O and Nordstar are correct learn all you can about magick before going down that path and from someone who has gone down that path a few too many times the consequences from using magick to extract revenge is too much to pay sometimes to not make it worth it.

there is always a price with practicing any kind of magick whether it is physically draining you of your energy or you get negative effects from curses later on and if they rebound it's even worse (trust me i have had a few mishaps with curses and they are not fun)

if you decide to still go down that path i would suggest learning ways to help negate the negative effects of curses i.e use protection when casting it maybe a witch bottle to be used a decoy in case it is a back fired curse or if it is sent back to you from the person you sent it too.

I thank you all for your responses and I'm honored that people cared enough to respond. Whether or not I decide to use magic against this person, you've all confirmed what I really already knew in my heart, which is I'm definitely not ready for this type of magic. At the very least, I won't do anything like that now.

I became interested in magic after discovering I have a few psychic abilities. As I continue to explore and grow in those, magic just seemed like the next natural road to go down. However, magic seems different than psychic abilities because it seems with any type of magic there are exponentially more chances for dire consequences.

I apologize if I came across as using it willy-nilly, I didn't mean it like that. I guess I just needed someone else to tell me something I already know...I hope that makes sense.
