A theoretical question

Do you believe or not, that should a person, who believes in both heaven and hell, die for a rather short period of time (a few seconds to a couple minutes) could see one plane or the other or both should the circumstances occur for a second or more times? Discuss...

In 2013, when in hospital, I was clinically dead for six minutes.I saw only darkness, but I was aware that I was "sliding down", very much like going to sleep.I knew I was dying. I even heard one of the medical team say, "I'm going to save your life tonight." Very strange experience!

Theoretically if there is an afterlife, you should see it when it is your time. Perhaps if you die for a minute you might see glimpses or feel "at peace" as people have reported, but I doubt you go there, see your family/deity before returning to Earth. It's something you discover when you die, so while I don't recommend killing yourself to see if there is anything, I simply wouldn't concern myself with the possibility. If you feel there's a heaven or hell or whatever then it's your faith.

Very understandable. Now there is the question of those who have claimed to visit one or the other, but not via death. I'm sure we all know that it is possible to visit the astral plain, but do you think that they are in said plain or are they their own plain? and is it possible to see one or the other in say a glimpse?

Disclaimer: I already have my own beliefs I am curious as to the theory or beliefs of others, which is why this thread is titled as such.

Mother died for five minutes when she was in labor with me because of a blood clot and she was a witch who could astral travel and she told me that being dead felt very diffrent from astral travel in fact she said she felt safe and peaceful when dead and when in the astral she was always cautious and wary

It doesn't seem to matter whether a person believes in heaven or hell, or whether they have a religious belief system or none. All those who have had near-death experiences seem to experience the same sorts of visions, such as walking down a dark tunnel towards the light.

It is theorized that this is the result of an oxygen deprived brain beginning to shut down rather than any spiritual experience.

I guess that anyone who has undergone such a situation will assign whatever spiritual meaning to the event as fits with their own belief system.
