I am having trouble finding a meditation that is right for me. Does anyone have any simple starting out meditations that they can share with me? Thanks so much and Blessed Be!

I just relax and listen to Japanese Zen Garden music. Works pretty well.

Yea sure, here is a basic meditation technique I use:

Sit down with your back straight or lay on your back, whichever is more comfortable. Make sure you are in an area that is both quiet and not susceptible to disturbance. Take three deep breaths and exhale (wait three seconds between each breath) begin to clear your mind, focus on your breathing.

If any thoughts come along that are distracting, simply be aware they are there and move on, clearing the head furthur. Imagine a liquid filling your body starting at your crown; feel how the liquid soothes and calms you. Do this until the liquid fills the entire body, after that go back to focusing on your breath.

Thoughts will come like "am I doing this right?" know that the point of meditation isnt to be scared that you aren't doing it right, but to simply clear your head and help you enter a meditative state. The only "wrong" way to meditate in itself is to ask whether you are doing it right or not.

Don't think about those bills you have to pay, or what you have to do throughout the day. Simply quiet the mind, and enjoy the meditation.

Feel free to email me at any time, I have many other methods! Hope it helped.
