After-life

On my guess, this site contains people from all different religions rather than the Wiccan/Pagan I had expected from a site called "Spellsofmagic".

SO! My question to you is simply this, What is YOUR personal opinion about what happens after death? (Please don't be simplistic about it being that is in fact a deep topic)

P.S.
Any Atheists that feel the need to write "Nothing happens" on this page can simply just stop before they waste their time.

Wicca's belief of death is simply as this (Judging from the many books i've read) :

When a person dies they will find themselves in the middle of a gigantic plain of some sort called "Summerland". Here you will meet and interact with the Goddess, basically recalling your entire life. After doing such, you have a choice to make: To either join with her back to The All or to reincarnate back to Earth with all memories erased.

This is Wicca's idea of life after death. Though yes I am a Wiccan ( and very proud of it ;D ) myself, MY belief's on said matter are a tad bit different. Ill make sure to post it later after I'm done hearing all of your responses :D

I believe this as well.... seeing as I too am wiccan... but I believe that after death the spirit in question can also choose to stay in the astral plane as a teacher or guide....

I'm a Catholic, so I believe that when you die your spirit/soul will be judged by God the Father, and if the soul is found to have been bad/evil/corrupt in life and refused to repent, they are sentenced to eternity in hell. If the soul was found to have led a relatively good life, or repented after living a bad life, they are sent to purgatory (also known as limbo) where they spend time being "purified" so to speak. As Heaven if perfection in true from, no imperfection can enter into it, therefore these unclean souls (and we are all unclean, though some admittedly more than others) must be made ready for the Glory of Heaven. In Heaven, You spend all of eternity in Union with the Holy Trinity. Though what actually happens in heaven is uncertain, it is believed that the souls of the dead resisding in heaven do have the ability to interfere in the lives of mortals.

I personally believe in reincarnation. More the Buddhist version of it than the wiccan version though both versions are interesting.

as i said before it has been scientificaly proven what happens after death:

A british hypnocist use hypnosis on people to explore what happens after death. One of his patients knew exactly how he died and what was he in his past life. He was a british pilot in worldwar2 and explained in detail how he died, what was his name etc. So the hypnocist went into the library to check the information he was given, to his surprise there was a british pilot named such, and he died exactly the way the man said he did. So he began exploring this, and came to the conclusion that was already known(i also knew this before i read his research, and i saw it once later on the television).

You are not your body, u are your soul, when u die u leave your body (most people see a tunnel whit a white light at the end of it, and are lead by a relative or someone close to them that died before them), and go through the tunnel, at the end of the tunnel awaits u the council of elders, consisting of 12 very old souls. There u will choose your next life, choose ur parents, will u be rich poor etc.

Thats the basics of it. It has been scientificaly proven, and i know there is going to be someone after this comment that will say this is just your personal belief.

I remember seeing another TV show about just about the same thing mayday. Except this gentleman was a Marine on a ship during WWII, and recounted his past life through hypnosis as well. Subsequent research proved that this gentleman was telling things that no one knew but he himself.

I do believe that when we die we have another journey to make. That to the white light. Whether it will be an easy journey or not, I don't know. But I guess that I'll just have to find out.

First of all, When you die you directly go to hell( not to heaven, you will go to heaven only with the god( if he wants you to came there for your good karma ) and not just by DYING ),

second is if you go to hell you have to face your karma only the bad karma and not the good karma, and you will be punished only for bad karma in the hell and guess what you will be punished only for say about 90-95% of your bad karma and not for all of your bad karma

third is the remaining good karma and remaining bad karma( 5-10% ) will be payed in your next birth, yes you will pay for it only in your next birth
like born with good health, beauty, goodness, and some gifts etc...etc... as a result of your good karma
and born with a low health, disease, handicapped, etc...etc... and some bad things in your life.... as a result of your bad karma

And *Karma is a sanskrit( Oldest Language ) word meaning that:
Karma => good things and bad things that you have done in your entire life

Blessed Be!

Love and Light.

there is only a cycle of death and rebirth because of the kamma (Sanskrit karma) we produce from past lifes and the life we live now i held a belief in summer lands thou i have come to see a totally better out look that springs from Buddhism.

Buddhism knows of a third type of kamma a cessation of kamma past and present that leads a person never to reborn again and suffer in this life, its true to say we have a choice to come back or help people as an ascended master etc..thou that's just fantasy of the mind.

without overcoming suffering and clinging one will be put through the cycle of rebirth after death its seems there is no choice on a persons part, the whole reason why we are here is to overcome the cessation of our kamma past and present by overcoming over own suffering leading a path of compassion and not clinging to anything in this world its not an easy road to take thou is well worth the reading up on prajna teachings of the Buddha if one can walk the eight fold path than one goes to a higher level of consciousness in the now and truth is knowing its called Dharma and enlightenment is the goal.

so when one dies there is no rebirth at all but a moving forwards to a newer realm or world that is not knowing to any one of us..

that's the Buddha way and a way of pure awareness and mindfulness that puts the pieces together and gets rid of the illusions and delusions of the mind leading to a more freer life in the now and excelling fast with wisdom, thou hey there are many roads to take in life some fantasy and some deluded cut away the the dirt and you have Buddhism..
