The Gaia theory, though not a new idea, is gaining popularity again with new satellite imagines.

Check out the link below for further details and the imagines.

I love that the theory was named after the Greek mother goddess whom is the personification of Earth.

I just realized for different people they call by different names, Gaea (almost like Gaia), Mother Earth, The Goddess,..etc. It's hard to think if they are the same goddess or not.

Gaea and Gaia are different spellings for the same Greek goddess. Ge has also been used in some writings. Gaia is a mother goddess whom gave birth to the Earth as well as the universe. The heavenly gods, the titans, and the giants of Greek mythology are her children. Her Roman panthion name is Terra
