A sign?

Hey everyone I'm Freya. I had a unique experience today and I was wondering what people's opinion on it would be. I'm not sure if it was just luck or if it was a sign or omen.

Today I was walking through my local forest and I found a beautiful Kookaburra tail feather (I live in Australia and kookaburra feathers aren't very common.) I continued walking while holding the feather and there was a patch of Monarch Butterflies, I stopped to watch them for a while and one flew up and landed on the feather I was still holding out, it stayed there for a while even when I won,e the feather a bit. It was amazing.

I would certainly accept the feather as an awesome gift! A little light research depicts the bird as Boisterous, jovial, mischievous, and totally fearless. Also, a kingfisher can see below the surface of water to find their true target. This quality tends to represent insight and promotes the ability to see into the underlying heart of any situation, especially their emotional source.

Personally I think the feather would be well served added to a wand or staff, or even your athame or other instrument of will. Insight, awareness, decisive action, and fearlessness are all worthy attributes to tie into any working. If it is a larger feather, I could also see it being a good smudge fan by adding a hunter's authority to the cleansing nature of the smoke.

As well you could simply keep the feather on your altar as it is, or wear it as a token or personal symbol, or even a symbol of mastery/achievement if you have been working towards these qualities within yourself already.

here are a couple brief articles I found;

Thank you very much. I have the feather on my altar and I think I'll use it like a athame because I don't have one
