Altar suggestions

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions what I could use as an altar? I'll try looking around for anything suitable myself, but if you know anything that doesn't stand out too much (don't want my parents to know) and is relatively easy to find I'd be happy to hear it.

Use your bedside table as one, that's what I've been using at the moment. You can hide your things when your done and its completely inconspicuous. Though to be honest I'd go and sit down with your parents an be honest with them. To be open in a relationship is to build trust and strengthen the bonds, and if they truly loved you as their child (which I'm pretty sure they do) they'd accept you no matter what. Just take things slow and steady and everything will fall into place. :)

Thank you for your answer, and yes, maybe I should talk to my parents and I know they would still love me, but I feel they would kind of just laugh it off or think I'm being weird since they are like the most normal and average people ever.. I'll just keep it to myself for now, maybe I'll tell my brother, he'd understand :)

Three things to think about when choosing something for an altar. It needs to be large enough to hold all of the items you need for your working. And it needs to be sturdy and stable enough that it won't tip or collapse when you place things on it. And traditionally it should be made out of a natural substance such as wood...no plastic tables, etc.

That being said, you can use a variety of things for an altar. A nighttable by your bed. The top of your bureau. A shelf. A window sill. A folding table. And of course you don't need to have your altar set up at any time other than when you are doing a working. So it doesn't need to be in view where others might see it.. I have a small altar where everything I need when I'm traveling fits into a wooden cigar box. I use the top of the box as an altar when I am away from home.

I'm sure that if you look around your room or the rest of your house you can find something that will work just fine.
