Symbol question
By:
I was wondering if there were other symbols out there that have eight points to them other than the eight pointed star, Kolovrat, Dharmachakra, The Wheel of The Year, Symbol of Chaos, The Sphere of Chaos. and The star of Ishtar / Venus. The reason I ask is there is a eight point symbol I have repeatedly drawn since age 13 and half the time I don't realize I'm drawing it until after its finished. I have the symbol in my profile album which is public for all to see.

The symbol seems somewhat familiar to me though I know for sure I've never seen anything exactly like it. Do you get a sense of what it might represent when you draw it? Of course looking at it the shape of the arrows makes me think of the sun or more precisely fire but I doubt that's anything more than judgement by looks. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I wrote about eight point symbols here. Another eight point star is called the elven star.

It reminds me of the sun a little but I can also kind of see the triple goddess symbol over lapping it if you remove two rayssoo to me it represents the union between them both and so the completion and creation of the universe and all life. It also makes me think of the eye of Shiva the God of creation and destruction.

Then again this is your personal symbol and so only you can interpetate it.

Blessed Be.
