elemental psy ball (help)

i have not done magick long but i was able to perfect the psy ball but i dont know how to add an element to it to make it useful and i dont even know what my element is. so if you can please help me out.

the reason i would put an element in a psy ball is so i can turn it into something different like for example if you add fire to the psy ball i thought that you could turn it into a fire ball.
