Asking For Help?

Was just wondering at what stage it's appropriate to ask for assistance.

I've been a practising Shadow Caster since I was a child, since before I actually knew what it was that I was doing.

I've always been solitary...until now. Now I have other people to work with.

I realise that this will mean that I have to start using an alter, and "tools" so that we're all visualising the same thing.

Everything that I know tells me that what works for one witch may not have the same results for another...it's only by trial and error that each practitioner discovers what works for them.

So, at what stage is it appropriate to ask for assistance?

there's not a 'certain stage' at which you can ask for assistance. If you need help with things, just ask :)

Temperance has it right. When it comes to magical and other spiritual paths everyone learns and develops into things differently. Everyone has their own aptitudes, understandings, and interpretations of things. So in the end it is up to you as to when you feel like you are ready to start branching out and/or connecting with others to compare ideas and learn new things.

Some of the different religions that fall under the 'magical practice' umbrella might have different levels of progress, achievement, or authority... but those tenets are specific to each individual path. Some covens or other groups also put in place a formal sense of ranking or structure within the group, but that is again up to the individual group to figure out.
