Dream Magick Questions

Hello,

I'm considering to start practicing dream magick after years of being on a pause from physically practicing magick. Over these rough years, I have stumbled into a crisis of faith at times. Now that I think about it, how is dreaming a magickal experience? They say we dream for our subconscious mind to work out unresolved issues from our daily life. So, how does this make dream magick a magickal experience? If you tell yourself to dream of a certain God, then when it happens, wouldn't your conscious mind just have convinced your subconscious to dream of working with that God? I need more understanding.

I see dreaming, generally, as a way to connect with your subconcious. That being said, I tend to put a lot of weight on my dreams because they tend to lead me in the right direction, and occassionally, give me insight into future events.

I'm not sure if that really answers your question, but I hope it was at least a little bit helpful.

The only "dream magic" I know of is dream walking. I am not sure I would even call that magic. Technically you could practice while in a dream state if you are able to control your dreams. I don't see any real benefit to it as opposed to working in the physical though.

Dreams are essentially your subconscious mind reliving and or working out issues from your conscious experiences. So anything you do in your dreams is just a visual form of your subconscious thought. This does not mean it has no impact on your life though. I suppose doing workings in your dreams would benefit those who are restricted in what they can do in the physical. Just seems like a lot of fuss to me, because controlling yourself and environment in dreams can be difficult
