Hi I'm a high school student and I came across this site during the summer. Since I didn't have school I was able to spend my time on this site to learn. However once school started I don't have as much time now. I wanted to know some tips on how I could incorporate learning magic into my life. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There is many ways for you keeping learning, perhaps you have a mobile, or anything else portable so you can read ebooks sometimes at bus, or at break of classes. If you follow any entity, you can perform different works (this is more complex) but still able to do while working, studying. There is many ways to work with magic, colors, offerings, meditation, thoughts, etc. Try to understand about "living magic", actions, etc.

Do you mean spell casting or your pagan path? Spell casting can be done whenever you feel the need. Your spirituality might be harder. Try reading some books for ideas. Few things you could try include:

  • praying to your specific deity daily. Could be when you wake up, before going to sleep, or before meals. You could pray once or multiple times, whatever works.

  • offerings. These could be daily, or once a week/month. Try lighting some incense on Saturdays in your room and dedicating it to your deity. You could use a number of things for offerings but incense is easiest.

  • daily/weekly nature walks. Take this time to be without electronics and just observe the world around you. If walks aren't your thing, sitting outside in your yard or park works too. The key is to relax and observe.

  • meditation. There are many ways to meditate, so look into it further. Like with nature walks, you should take a moment to relax. This can help in many ways, but you can connect with yourself and the gods through meditation.

  • mindfulness. This one is a little broader, basically being aware of things. If you're eating a salad, try to visualize/think of where the food came from. It's easier if you grew it yourself than if it's from a grocery store, but it should say on the package where it's from. Try eating foods in season, to better connect with the seasons. [In the winter, go with frozen produce unless your area is tropical] eating is just one example, try to observe and understand the change around us. Though eating healthy can be another great point

  • There are many others too, you could read books, work on your Book of Shadows, study herbalism, astrology, divination, or a thousand other topics which interest you. Start by getting a journal [Or piece of paper] and write down your daily routine for a week. [Like wake up at 7, eat breakfast at 7:30, go to school at 8, lunch from 11-12...] You will probably find large gaps where your day is filled with free time [from 3-7 computer for example] try scaling back on the time wasting activities to make room for meditation or reading or something similar.

well i personally do it by doing no homework and reading not school literature in classes, but i wouldn't suggest it unless you are a genius like me (not bragging (...) much) cause i honestly stopped paying attention in class at the third grade when i just went through everything up to college level in one week... aside from grammar which i don't really get in any language and i speak in 4, if you cont latin that i just started learning this month 5

Personally I used to research and learn after school/college/homework. Before you go to bed you can read books on the subject, get books out of the library to read after homework is done, use it as a reward almost for finishing work. It allows you to relax while reading it (I wouldn't do it before deadlines as you can't take it in). Do it when you feel you have the time don't try to force it into an already tight schedule, you will get to it eventually.

well, the balance between wiccan life and regular life can be easy or difficult depending on your field of preference. since i deal with spirits, i can easily slip away and quickly banish it and then instantly return to normal life. my advice, find gaps in which you can use best to study your field of prefference
