Hell Hounds

I wasn't sure where to post this, but here it goes. My daughter has a friend who can see spirits, she is 12. Anyhow, the past week or two my daughter has been troubled, but wouldn't tell me what was going on until last night. Apparently her friend told her she keeps seeing a black dog with red eyes follow her (my daughter) around and told her she saw it growling at her the other day. My daughter is quite mature for 12 and was trying to deal with this on her own thinking I wouldn't believe her, well last night she called me into her room and spilled the beans and said that as she was trying to go to sleep she felt weight on her chest and saw a dark dog like figure over top of her. My other daughter was not in bed yet so she didn't see anything. So first off I'm not sure if I believe this could be true or an overactive imagination spurred by what her friend is telling her. On the other hand she certainly believes its true because she was crying last night saying she'd read that hell hounds will kill you and that she's afraid to be alone now. (this coming from a girl who normally will walk through the woods by our house and sit out there for hours by herself)Sooo opinions please, I thought of doing a protection spell on her, to at the very least give her some peace of mind. Secondly opinions appreciated on whether I should be concerned or not. I am very open minded, but this seems like something out of the movies, just wandering if anyone's had anything similar happen.

Personally I think she is telling the truth. What is your daughters friends personality do you think she would lie ask your self this and what do I believe from what I know how can I know and yes defiantly cast a protection spell even if you think she is paranoid better to be safe then hurt

Black dogs appear in lore of various countries and some are helpful, but most local stories don't show them as such (some were omens of death, but I don't think you need to worry about that with your daughter).

The weight upon the chest as she is trying to sleep is called sleep paralysis. In the past, people attributed the cause to a spirit that would lie upon the chest of the sleeper and either whisper nightmares in their ear or suffocate them. One of the most prominant spirits this was attributed to was the Mare or Mara, depending on the country. As time went on, they blended with other spirits, like the Dokkalfar (Icelandic for dark elf) and they were given the attributes of the Mare and Mara.

I wouldn't necessarily call the spirit a hell hound, though, unless you and your daughter are from a Christian background. Keep in mind that it can be a spirit from many other paths and there is absolutely no shortage of lore involving black hounds.

You say your daughter is scared because she read that hell hounds would kill her, correct? Prior to that, has she felt anything hostile from the spirit? You can try working and communing with the spirit or you can simply cleanse the space around her and set up some wards or shields. If the spirit persists after that, look into binding and banishing.

I once dealt with a similar spirit that wasn't exactly 'nice', but he was never hostile towards me. When he began attacking the spirits I worked with, my father had suggested burning a candle inside a grated lantern to banish him. I don't know exactly what went on or why he had left, but I have never felt his presence since.

be prepared for everything, even if its just your daughter imagination or else... cast a protection spell and not only for your daughter but your self and other members and even your home. Understand what your daughter is saying, her behavior, what she feel and how her reaction is to it.

What makes you think its a hell hound sleeping on her exhibits a protecting naturr, and red eyes while strange but not conclusive on anything, you would need mor info on it to get anything concrete, baisicly the only thing im taking in to account is the fact that the wolf slept on her, but there not much other useful information, but since they are not bound to one form, but he still is using a form that frightens her than he might be trying to scare someone else away, but you really didn't give mutch to work with

A child's imagination is far ahead of an adult's! A child is trying to make sense of the world, and can imagine all sorts of ghosts and beasties! Many children have an "invisible" playmate; and, to the child, that playmate is very, very real!
Tell your daughter that it is just a dog, and it cannot hurt anybody.

There are lots of possible reasons for her feeling a weight on her chest, when a person thinks something is happening for so long their imagination will take hold and play tricks.

Depending on your spiritual background, it could be a number of things. In my experience, spirits or entities only take form of something that is frightful to us when it has negative intent. The dog could just be attracted to her, or it could be something meaning to hurt her.

If you're of Christian belief, just use your Bible and find a scripture in Psalms that protects against spirits and enemies.

If the spirit is trying to protect her, she wouldnt be afraid of it despite how scary in appearance the dog is.

Doing LBRP maybe will work, u know i read about it people can use it to banish unwanted spirits in a room. U can do LBRP in her room or maybe teach her to do it everynight. Just a suggestion though...
