Okay, so I've recently started a new school as I am in 8th grade and had not been in school like I should have been, and while I was gone I had found my Wiccan path. Coming back and going to a new school, it is really weird because at my age, a lot of people still strictly believe in god and bug you if you don't. So I'm here to say that all of us living in places where we aren't accepted or understood, there are still a few people even if they aren't pagan, that accept us. I've found that out, and I even already have a new girlfriend and loyal friends that take me as I am. I bid you all to find those people and don't dare hide who you are out of fear. We have rights now. Blessed be.
I'm in highschool and when I found my path I let people know. One guy has decided I worship satan and thought I would burst into flame if I touched a bible. Obviously I did not. But he is the only one who has rejected me for my beliefs. And I couldn't care less what he thinks. Most people will approach curious as to why I think what I do but some really don't care who you worship so it dosnt matter to them. (Btw I'm heathen)
I just feel sad for the people who have been forced to believe that any other religion is wrong. We don't need to be something out of fear of damnation.
Thank you for this. :)
I'm a junior in high school and my school's population is either Christian or Mormon. I am the only Pagan I know in my school that I know of, so far. All of us keep quiet because I know they are afraid of being criticized. I've seen a boy where a pentagram on his necklace and got picked on for it. He never wears it anymore.
Now I'm the only one who's basically came out of the hiding place. I'm wearing my own pentagram necklace, and people are asking me why and I tell them why. But I basically go by the rule: If they don't ask, I won't tell. I'm hella proud who I am, but I'm not going to shove it in people's face, either.
If they criticize you for your necklace, just tell then that the pentagram was a Christian symbol too. It was used to represent the five wounds of Christ as he was hanging on the cross. It helps to.know the difference and similarities of our religions. :) It's also very interesting.
