Is there a type of magick, or divination that requires you to play an instrument? If it helps, I play Trumpet, Flute, And Harmonica. I got the idea from some altars having a bell on them, so I thought why not other instruments?
Music can be listened while doing magic It also help our mind to get in tune also music is also help for meditations and my belief music gives me or bring energy from inside of me..Music and dancing are the part of magic and is used in many rituals and ceremonies and about the bell it is used to ward of evils according to ancient belief the loud sweet sound reflects or ward off evils and also used for calling or invoking Deities and praying god or goddess..Music also raise the power of spells rituals and chants ....

About 75-85% of my magick involves playing a musical instrument. I took the inspiration from the concept of historical troubadours and bards playing music and singing. The concept is simple once you lay it out.
No 75 to 85% of magic does not involve music or instruments , its only the choice of the user if they see fit for the instrument to be used as a tool such as for focus , or to induce a trance like state. There are also a few magical practices such as Soul Music (Harmonical melodies imbued with your own essence to cause effects in humans , such as Mass hypnosis , induction of emotions and inspiration). In truth i dont believe that most knowledge here is knowledge , rather peoples opinions and beliefs , so good luck with whose opinion you see as a fit belief for you.

well i know people play instruments to charge themselves with energy before a ritual or spell. since you play wind instruments, look into magic dealing with the air element.
